Nigerian Entertainment News: Yomi Fabiyi Shares Alleged Private Messages from Adura, Makes Startling Claims
Prominent Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, has continued to make headlines in Nigerian Entertainment News with his relentless efforts to seek justice for the late singer, Mohbad.
However, the ongoing situation has sparked further controversy between Fabiyi and Mohbad’s mother, especially regarding the detention of her second son, Adura.
During a recent media interview featuring both Adura and his mother, the family publicly distanced themselves from Fabiyi, urging him to withdraw from their personal matters. In the same interview, Adura recounted his version of the events that followed his brother’s untimely passing.
Shortly after, Fabiyi took to social media, alleging that Adura had reached out to him in 2024 at the beginning of the campaign demanding justice for Mohbad. The actor claimed Adura forwarded a set of private messages suggesting he was in possession of a video that captured a confrontation between Mohbad and his spouse, Wunmi. Allegedly, Adura demanded ₦3 million in exchange for the footage.
In a separate message, Adura purportedly claimed that during a heated exchange, Wunmi pushed Mohbad, leading him to strike his head against a wall. Fabiyi stated that he handed over these messages to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), which has overseen the investigation from its early stages.
He further accused top-ranking police authorities, including the Lagos Commissioner of Police, of concealing vital elements of the probe. According to Fabiyi, he also reached out to the Assistant Inspector General of Police in Zone 2, but the matter was reportedly rerouted to Panti on the directive of the Inspector General of Police.
Citing what he believes to be a cover-up, Fabiyi said he addressed an open letter to the President through Vanguard Newspaper and even traveled to the United Kingdom, where he submitted the alleged evidence to Nigeria’s Ambassador.
