Nigerian Entertainment News: VeryDarkMan Acknowledges Support After Regaining Freedom
Martins Otse, popularly recognized as VeryDarkMan, has extended heartfelt appreciation to all those who rallied behind him and advocated for his release from detention
Recall that the social commentator had been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), sparking public outcry and street demonstrations in Abuja from supporters demanding his freedom.
In a recent video uploaded to his social media platforms on Saturday, May 10, VeryDarkMan conveyed that he was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from Nigerians who hit the streets in solidarity with him.
“I never expected the love, I almost wanted to cry when I came out and saw everything,”
he stated.
The video, which lasted several minutes, featured VeryDarkMan expressing profound gratitude to his legal counsel led by Deji Adeyanju, as well as public figures such as Cubana Chiefpriest, Davido, Jojooflele, Dkokopee, and numerous others who stood by him during his ordeal.
He also voiced his surprise at the backing he received from renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana, despite their legal differences.
“I didn’t expect Falana to say anything,” he said. “I really want to appreciate everyone that lent their voice to say #FreeVDM. I have recorded over 15 videos today because I don’t want to miss anyone’s name, and I hope I didn’t. If I did, please tag them and pass on my thanks on my behalf (TO THE RATEL MOVEMENT WORLDWIDE).”
This trending Nigerian Entertainment News update has sparked further conversations online, with fans and celebrities continuing to share the appreciation video and applaud the collective effort that led to VeryDarkMan’s release.
