Popular reality TV personality and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Natacha Akide, widely recognized as Tacha, has spoken out regarding the unfortunate road incident involving Phyna’s sister, Ruth, and a truck owned by the Dangote Group
The tragic occurrence happened just six days after Ruth marked her graduation, leaving many in shock. Reports indicate the truck was being operated by a minor, sparking outrage across social media platforms.
In response to the backlash, the Dangote Group issued a public announcement confirming that a company delegate had visited Ruth, expressed concern over her condition, and presented an offer of financial assistance.
However, Tacha was not satisfied with the gesture and called for the company to take full responsibility and ensure meaningful compensation is provided.
She stressed that incidents like this are uncommon in more developed nations, where stringent laws and accountability measures deter such negligence.
In her words, Tacha stated:
“It’s high time the Dangote group starts paying heavily for the recklessness of their drivers. They ought to pay $10 million in compensation to Ruth even though it won’t bring back her leg.”
