Nigerian Entertainment News: Seyi Vibez Addresses Perceptions of Being Older than His Age at 23
Renowned Nigerian artist Seyi Balogun, known by the stage name Seyi Vibez, has clarified the misconception surrounding his age, confirming that he is 23 years old
The singer of “Billion Van” attributed the belief of him being older to performing content deemed inappropriate for his age.
Speaking to Nandi Madida on Apple Music’s Africa Now Radio, Seyi Vibez expressed the need to persist despite the age-related misconceptions, emphasizing his commitment to maintaining artistic inspiration.
He revealed that, apart from God, his late mother remains a significant source of motivation, stating that she lives on in his heart.
Additionally, the artist highlighted his continuous work in the studio, with a slew of new songs ready for release.
Seyi said;
“I just keep recording. It is not because I want to record, it is because I don’t like talking to people too much. From when I was young, I did not like talking to people too much.
Whatever is on my mind that is getting me sad or happy, I put it in my music. I record always, because that is the only way I can communicate with people. I have a lot more songs than the ones I have released.”
