Nigerian Entertainment News: Senator Ned Nwoko Validates Viral Medical Report On Regina Daniels’ Substance Abuse
Nigerian lawmaker Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North in the National Assembly, has reacted to the widespread online buzz surrounding claims that his estranged spouse, actress Regina Daniels, allegedly tested positive for substances such as cocaine, marijuana, alcohol, morphine, opiates, and other illicit drugs
Earlier reports attributed to Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja—endorsed by its Managing Director and Head of Clinical Services, Dr. Adekunle Adesina—indicated that Daniels had been battling intense substance dependence. She was said to have undergone a detoxification treatment at the centre from September 9 to October 15, 2025.
According to the alleged document, the hospital’s psychological emergency unit was alerted to Nwoko’s home on September 23 after Daniels reportedly stayed awake for 48 hours straight and displayed unruly behaviour.
The medical findings described her as showing verbal hostility, restlessness, rage, and an “elated and evasive” disposition, along with inconsistent emotional reactions.
The detox procedure, as outlined, was reportedly impeded due to Daniels’ continued access to psychoactive drugs, which slowed down her recovery process.
However, Serenity Royale Hospital later issued a clarification via Instagram, stating that the leaked medical record did not come from them and reaffirming their dedication to upholding strict patient privacy.
In a statement released on Saturday, Senator Nwoko pointed out that although the hospital did not deny approving the report, it did not make it available for public consumption.
He further voiced concerns that some of Daniels’ recent decisions could be linked to an unstable mental and emotional condition, leaving her vulnerable to individuals who may want to take advantage of her.
The Senator stressed that his foremost concern remains Daniels’ wellbeing, healing, and continued involvement in the lives of her children.
