American music star Ciara, who touched down in Lagos on Thursday for the four-day Lagos Fashion Week 2025, expressed her admiration for the city’s dynamic energy and ever-evolving fashion landscape, which she said continues to inspire her creativity
Speaking during the closing gong ceremony at the Nigerian Exchange alongside Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ciara shared, “I will be using my platform to showcase the beauty of Lagos. My heart beats differently whenever I’m here. The city’s growth and creative energy are inspiring.”
Governor Sanwo-Olu commended the event for reinforcing Lagos’s status as Africa’s creative capital, emphasizing that it mirrors the city’s resilience and innovative spirit.
He added, “Our administration remains committed to supporting those pushing locally created brands to the global market,” affirming that Lagos stands as a symbol of Nigeria’s potential to drive Africa’s economic future.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, this year’s Lagos Fashion Week, themed “In Full Bloom”, runs from October 29 to November 2, 2025, bringing together designers, models, and creative minds from across the continent in a grand showcase of style, culture, and innovation.
