Nigerian Entertainment News: Kiddwaya Blasts Nigerians For Celebrating Politicians Despite Their Wrongdoings
Former Big Brother Naija personality Kiddwaya has voiced his frustration on social media, condemning Nigerians for consistently revering political leaders while ignoring their misconduct
In a post on 𝕏, Kiddwaya stressed that many citizens openly applaud and solicit assistance from politicians, yet quickly retreat online to lament when policies negatively affect the masses.
He noted that much of the backlash he receives comes from people who would rather joke and mock than demand improved leadership.
Kiddwaya wrote, “You keyboard warriors worship politicians and praise their misconduct. You hail and beg when meeting them in person but lack the courage to hold them accountable when their actions harm us all. All you can do online is insult people like me and crack silly jokes. The joke is on you.”
His statement generated mixed reactions. Some users agreed with his viewpoint but argued that Kiddwaya’s family connections within the political space make his criticism complicated, insisting that Nigerians often expect change without taking decisive action themselves. Others challenged him to disclose what specific efforts he has personally made in holding political leaders responsible.
Another commenter supported Kiddwaya’s argument, pointing out that although Nigerians frequently attack pastors and celebrities, they continue to praise politicians face-to-face, only to return to social media to vent their anger when problems arise.
