Nigerian entertainer Divine Ikubor, famously known as Rema, has addressed his visual challenges
Rema revealed on the red carpet of the 2024 BRIT Awards in London that he utilizes eyeglasses to enhance his eyesight.
In an interview with Capital Xtra, the artist behind the hit “Calm Down” disclosed that he was diagnosed with hyperopia, which hampers his ability to focus on nearby objects.
The emerging Nigerian artist graced the stage at this year’s BRIT Awards, the UK’s premier music awards ceremony.
Rema’s performance at the prestigious event marked him as the second Nigerian artist to achieve this feat, following Burna Boy’s appearance in 2018.
