Fireboy DML reminisces about a tearful moment when he went unnoticed by the audience at a gig, with even the DJ neglecting to play his music while the crowd grooved to tunes from other artists
The crooner revealed this incident took place in the nascent stages of his career as an up-and-coming artist.
Speaking to Billboard News, Fireboy emphasized that every budding musician faces obstacles along the road to success.
He said,
“Every upcoming artiste always go through a lot of stuff.
“There was a show I went to perform and nobody even knew I was on stage or spared me a second glance. Everybody was just dancing.
“The DJ was just DJing. I felt invisible and I went back to the car with my friend crying.
“I told myself never again. I will never ask for something until I feel like I deserve it.”
