In a developing story in Nigerian Entertainment News, gospel music executive Eezee Tee and his company, Eezee Global Concepts Limited, are currently battling a revised seven-count charge filed by the Lagos Zonal Command 2 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)

The allegations involve suspected money laundering activities and breaches of foreign exchange regulations, with the total amount in question running into several hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Initially overseen by Justice Owoeye, the case has since been reassigned to Justice Aneke for further legal proceedings.

According to the EFCC, the defendant, ThankGod (popularly known as Eezee Tee), allegedly carried out foreign currency transactions without a valid license—an act said to violate the Foreign Exchange (Monitoring and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act.

During the most recent court session, EFCC’s counsel, Bilkisu Buhari-Bala, presented the first prosecution witness, Mohammed Timta. However, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chikaosolu Ojukwu, representing the defence, disclosed that both sides were in talks for a potential out-of-court resolution and requested more time to conclude negotiations.

Justice Aneke granted the plea and postponed the case to September 26, 2025, to allow space for either a mutual agreement or continuation of the trial.
