Legendary Nigerian musician, Baba Fryo, has commented on the much-talked-about breakup between music icon 2Face Idibia and his former spouse, Annie Idibia, asserting that both individuals mishandled their relationship

This follows 2Face’s public confirmation in January about the dissolution of their marriage, alongside the introduction of Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Osawuru, as his new romantic partner.

Speaking during an episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Baba Fryo claimed that Annie’s lack of proper home management may have contributed significantly to the split.

He explained that men going through internal battles or facing destructive habits often require a partner who offers emotional stability and direction, rather than someone dealing with unresolved issues of her own.

Baba Fryo said,

“2Face and his [ex] wife didn’t manage themselves well. They are both entertainers. Annie is an actress and 2Face is a musician.

“In marriage, when the couple are out, it’s the woman’s duty to watch the man. When the man is drinking, the woman will be watching him, and if he is drinking too much, the woman will calm him. But if you marry a woman who also drinks, when you’re both drunk, who will take the other home?

“When a man sees that, he will become insecure in the marriage. And when he goes out and sees another woman with a different attitude… I’m not saying it’s a good attitude oh, because even 2Face’s current lover, Natasha, she is someone I have known since she was three years old. I carried her on my legs. Her father, Desmond, and I were friends.”
