Popular Nollywood actor, Stan Nze, has openly stated that he has no intention of jeopardizing his life for the sake of a film role

During a recent chat with The Nation, the celebrated actor described it as senseless to deliberately put oneself at risk just to prove dedication or superiority in the industry.

Stan emphasized that trained stunt professionals exist for a reason—they are specifically skilled and compensated to execute hazardous scenes. According to him, taking on such tasks personally not only undermines their profession but also exposes actors to unnecessary harm.

This statement has sparked conversation across the Nigerian Entertainment News space, highlighting the importance of safety and professionalism in Nollywood productions.

In his words:

“Why would I risk my life jumping from a dangerous height in a movie? Jumping characters are done by stunt guys. That’s their job. They are called stunt actors who are well paid for such roles. They have the experience of how to jump and do other things.

“I’m not going to be foolish and jump a dangerous height just because I want to be the best actor in Africa, and the people go do one minute of silence and then move on, it is stupidity.

“I will only do the ones I’m meant to do, so that the stunt men can do their job too.”
