Famous Afrobeats musician David Adeleke, often known as Davido, from Nigeria, has recalled how his rich father, Chief Adedeji Adeleke, once detained him, the event’s organizers, and fans
He worded that because he skipped school to chase music against his father’s desires, his father had arrested everyone at the event.
The crooner of “Omo Baba Olowo” stated it happened early in his career.
On The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan on Friday night, he made this claim while making his Channel 4 debut.
Davido said,
“I come from a family where it’s like, education, education, business…Overtime [my decision to do music] was like a beef.
“Any show he [my dad] hear I’m performing at, he sends the police. He arrests the fans, promoters. He has a camera watching where I go to.”
The musician performed his hit song ‘Unavailable’ on The Lateish Show.
