American Entertainment News: Rapper DDG Urges Court to Block Ex, Halle Bailey, from Italy Trip with Their Son
In the latest American Entertainment News, rapper DDG has urgently petitioned the court to prevent his former partner, actress and singer Halle Bailey, from traveling abroad with their one-year-old son, Halo, amid a contentious custody battle that has captured widespread attention
As reported by TMZ, DDG submitted the emergency request on Wednesday, June 4, expressing concerns that Halle’s planned trip to Italy with their child on June 7 could have serious implications.
He fears she may not return and that taking their son overseas could cause “immediate emotional and psychological harm.”
In support of his plea, DDG referenced multiple troubling incidents. He accused Halle of taking his firearm and leaving their home without explanation while pregnant.
He said he later discovered her outside with the gun, though it was never discharged. Additionally, he alleged she once considered terminating her pregnancy without his knowledge.
DDG also claimed that Halle had previously sent him “a string of disturbing text messages in which she threatened to take her own life and hinted that their baby, Halo, could also be in danger.”
On her part, Halle Bailey has presented serious counter-claims. The Little Mermaid actress was granted a temporary restraining order against DDG in May, alleging that he physically abused her. In one incident detailed in her court documents, she stated that DDG forcefully pushed her face into a steering wheel during an argument over their son, leaving her with a chipped tooth. She submitted photographic evidence to support her claims.
Addressing DDG’s objections to her travel plans, Halle clarified in court that the trip to Italy is strictly work-related. “My family and a nanny will accompany me to help care for Halo while I work,” she stated, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
The court is expected to make a decision regarding the emergency motion in the coming days.
