Jada Pinkett Smith has addressed recent online claims suggesting her spouse, Will Smith, engaged in a romantic encounter with actor Duane Martin
During her departure from iHeartRadio in New York on Wednesday, Jada firmly stated, “We suing!” In a subsequent conversation with The Breakfast Club’s Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy, she elaborated on their response, denouncing the accusations as “ridiculous” and “nonsense.”
Describing the situation as an attempted “money shakedown,” Jada emphasized their intent to pursue legal measures. She emphasized the distinction between expressing opinions and fabricating sensational and malicious tales.
In her words;
“This is a person who tried a shakedown, a money shakedown, and it didn’t work. We’re going to take legal action. Because it’s one thing to have your opinion about somebody versus just making up salacious, malicious stories,”
she said.
Jada also refuted the notion that the allegations originated from a financial scheme by Will’s former “friend” and assistant, Brother Bilal, dismissing the rumors about Hancock star and Duane as unfounded.
According to her, a prior unsuccessful attempt at extortion led to the current situation.
Jada said;
“He already tried to do this money shakedown, and Will was willing to give him a certain amount or what have you, and he didn’t take it. So this whole situation is based on that,” she said.
