The ongoing tension between hip-hop stars Cardi B and Nicki Minaj flared up once again this week, with both rappers taking shots at each other on social media platform X
The latest clash kicked off when 42-year-old Nicki Minaj posted, “Never irritate a writer while they’re [writing emoji],”on Monday night, while also teasing her upcoming album, scheduled for release on March 27, 2026. She ended the post with, “Let the reindeer games commence.”
Shortly after, the Pink Friday artist launched into a now-deleted string of posts targeting 32-year-old Cardi B. Among them was a cryptic jab—“$4.99”—seemingly aimed at the discounted iTunes price of Cardi’s project Am I the Drama?
This latest back-and-forth marks another chapter in their heated and highly publicized feud, continuing to stir headlines across American Entertainment News outlets.
Nicki also called the pregnant Cardi “Barney Dangerous” and mocked her album sales, which landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and went double platinum in the first week.
The lyricist wrote a series of tweets mocking Bardi’s track “Magnet” and the verse: “A-B-C-D-E-F-G / these bitches can’t fuck with me.”
“Abcdefgeeeeeeee,” Nicki wrote in one post. “SUR GER REE TO LOOK LIKE MEEEEEE / tell the rat & tell J ZEEEEEE / Rico Fraud & PERJURY.”
“Fallin off the charts wit a big bellyyyy / RUNNING TRAINS,” she wrote in another. “Barefoot, still smellyyyyy / Still. You. Could. Not. outsell. meeeeee.”
Shortly after, Cardi B responded by calling Nicki “Cocaine Barbie” and adding her own “Magnet” verses dissing Nicki.

About digs at her album sales, Cardi said, “It’s not the gag that you think it is.. You been in the game like 16 years.. You need to compare yourself to YOUR peers that started around YOUR time.
“Rihanna, Taylor swift, Drake…those are the numbers you need to be competing wit and you can’t cuz you doing lower than all of them… I was in high school when you came out wtf is you comparing yourself to me for???”
She also came at the Harajuku Barbie for taking shots about the pregnancy of her fourth child and first baby with Stefon Diggs.
“Like you wasn’t going to different fertility doctors cuz you couldn’t reproduce from all them percs scrambling your eggs. NOT ALLEGEDLY …Lord protect my babies,” Cardi wrote.
The rappers’ fight devolved as they tweeted images ridiculing each other with memes of Barney and pink wigs.
