American Entertainment News: Canadian Rapper Top5 Stabbed in London After posting ‘there is no real killers in London’ on social media
In a shocking incident that has stirred the American Entertainment News scene, Canadian rapper and close associate of Drake, Top5 — real name Hassan Ali — was reportedly stabbed in the leg while sitting in a car in North London, just hours after sharing a provocative message online
The altercation occurred after Ali attended Drake’s headlining performance at the Wireless Festival held in Finsbury Park over the weekend. Top5 had earlier shared clips from the VIP section, enjoying the concert. However, he later sparked outrage by claiming in a now-deleted post: “There are no real killers in London.”
According to reports, the rapper was seated in a white Mercedes when a gang of men allegedly surrounded the vehicle, smashed its windows, and dragged him out before stabbing him in the leg. The incident unfolded around 12:15 a.m. on Monday, July 14, as confirmed by the Metropolitan Police.
A police spokesperson stated: “The victim, a man in his 20s, was approached by several individuals who vandalized his vehicle before stabbing him. He was taken to a hospital where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening.”
Authorities are still investigating the attack, and no arrests have been made. The Met Police is urging anyone with relevant information to contact 101 or reach out via X (formerly Twitter), quoting reference number CAD105/17JULY.
Graphic video footage has since emerged online, showing a group of roughly a dozen individuals surrounding the car, climbing on the hood, and violently attacking the vehicle’s windscreen. Moments later, some of the assailants open the car door and physically assault the driver while attempting to drag him out. The car eventually fled the scene with its trunk still ajar.
Top5 has been a controversial figure both in Canada and abroad. Last year, he was acquitted of a murder charge in Toronto, after which he publicly thanked his legal team on Instagram. His limited social media presence also features posts with Kanye West and a notable image captioned: “The President & The Boy,” referring to himself and Drake.
