Nigerian Entertainment News: Portable Appeals to EFCC and GTBank for the Release of VeryDarkMan
Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has publicly appealed to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) to release his associate, social media personality VeryDarkMan, whom he described as kind-hearted and philanthropic
In a trending video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Portable expressed that despite their past clashes, he holds admiration for VeryDarkMan’s generosity and his consistent efforts to support those in need.
The appeal follows the sudden apprehension of VeryDarkMan outside a GTBank branch shortly after concluding a visit to the bank. While the specific reason behind his detention remains undisclosed, widespread speculation suggests it might be linked to his recent banking activity.
Pleading with the EFCC, Portable said:
“Abeg, in the name of God, make una release VeryDarkMan. Na my guy. He dey give people food, he dey help plenty people. I like people wey dey help others.”
He further advised Nigerians to remain calm and not hastily close their GTBank accounts:
“No go carry your money comot for GTBank.”
