Nigerian Entertainment News: Peller Opens Up on Why He Let Go of His Recently Employed Cameraman
In a trending Nigerian Entertainment News update, well-known Nigerian streamer Peller has disclosed the surprising reason he had to part ways with a newly recruited cameraman—who, interestingly, holds a master’s degree—barely days after hiring him
Peller detailed the experience during a chat with fellow content creator Carter Efe, offering insight into what turned out to be an awkward and unexpected scenario.
Cameraman Arrives with Bags, Intending to Move In
₦500,000 Advance Sparks Unexpected Drama
According to Peller, he had issued an upfront payment of ₦500,000 shortly after onboarding the cameraman. But things took an unusual twist when the man showed up at his residence, luggage in hand, assuming he could move in.
“I gave him 500K as advance, then he just appeared at our place with his bags,” Peller recounted.
He went on to explain that the cameraman claimed he had been kicked out of his accommodation and was hoping to stay with him.
Peller shared his unease, pointing out that he himself was staying in a place he didn’t own, which made hosting someone indefinitely unrealistic.
“He said he had no place to sleep, that he’d been evicted. But that apartment isn’t even mine. If it was, maybe I’d consider it…”
Peller emphasized that the sudden and personal request, especially so early in the job, raised concerns and ultimately led to the decision to terminate the contract.
