Canadian hip-hop artist Tory Lanez has been instructed by a federal judge in Florida to reimburse Megan Thee Stallion’s legal expenses due to his inappropriate conduct during a deposition in her defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz

The virtual deposition, held on April 9 via Zoom while Lanez remains incarcerated, reportedly spiraled into disorder.

Lanez allegedly mocked Megan’s attorney, disrupted the proceedings, and refused to cooperate with standard lines of questioning. As a result, the court imposed sanctions and mandated that he cover the legal fees associated with that session.

As outlined in official court filings and reports from AllHipHop, Lanez failed to meet an April 30 deadline to justify why he shouldn’t face contempt charges. Consequently, the presiding judge not only enforced monetary sanctions but also assigned a magistrate judge to oversee all future depositions to ensure proper courtroom conduct. Megan’s legal counsel is additionally requesting that a special master be appointed—at Lanez’s expense—to supervise any forthcoming testimony.

This ruling forms part of Megan Thee Stallion’s broader legal battle against Milagro Gramz, whom she accuses of disseminating harmful and untrue allegations regarding her mental well-being, substance use, and private life—claims that allegedly involve Lanez and his father.

In a separate decision, Gramz was previously ordered to pay a $5,000 fine for failing to provide timely access to her social media accounts during a court-ordered forensic review.

This ongoing legal drama traces back to the widely publicized 2020 shooting incident, in which Megan sustained injuries and Lanez was ultimately convicted. The latest court decision adds another chapter to the rapper’s expanding legal woes—making it a key topic in American Entertainment News.
